By a decision adopted by the Council of Ministers on 21 January 2026, part of Sts. Quiricus and Julietta Island, located near the town of Sozopol, will be transferred for management to the Ministry of Transport and Communications. As the governing authority responsible for the development and modernization of Bulgaria\u2019s public transport ports, the Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company (BPI Co.) will assume the management of the property, undertaking the reconstruction of the quay wall and the adjacent infrastructure and transforming the island into an attractive destination for tourists and local residents. <\/p>\n\n
