BPI Co. took part in a meeting of the EuRIS Steering Committee in Rotterdam

The Director General of Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company, Capt. Georgi Sabev took part in the second meeting of the Steering Committee of the single European platform EuRIS, which took place on 21.09.2022 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The event was hosted by the Executive Agency of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management of the Kingdom of the Netherlands – Rijkswaterstaat (RWS).
As a result of the agreements signed between the thirteen partners in the RIS COMEX project, a Committee has been constituted, acting as the management and decision-making body with respect to the EuRIS management and development activities. The Bulgarian member of the Committee is the Director General of BPI Co. During the meeting an agreement was reached on the operating principles of the Committee. A discussion was held, regarding the expansion of the scope of the RIS COMEX, BPI Co. being its Bulgarian beneficiary, as countries, such as Poland and Switzerland expressed interest to join. Also discussed was the possibility to implement a new project, funded by the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), which would continue the work of RIS COMEX.
