A unique aerobatic performance lit up the skies above Burgas Passenger Terminal on the evening of 8 August, hosted by the Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company (BPI Co.) as part of its celebrations marking 20 years since its establishment.
The modernized by BPI Co. Public Access Zone of the Port of Burgas, welcomed the legendary Hawks of Romania, who thrilled the thousands-strong audience with a breathtaking aerial spectacle. The event also coincided with another special anniversary – 10 years since the opening of the VTMIS Coastal Centre Burgas in the seaside city.
During the captivating demonstration, the pilots of the elite Romanian crew – all internationally recognized in the world of aerobatics – showcased flawless manoeuvres in their Extra 300 aircraft, including loops, the Cuban eight, chandelle turns, prolonged climbing and descending turns, and more.
Over the past two decades, BPI Co. has implemented numerous strategic projects that have modernized and digitalized Bulgaria’s public transport sea and river ports. With innovation, consistency, and dedication the Company has also transformed the Public Access Zone of the Port of Burgas into a modern and accessible urban space for cultural and community events.
Among BPI Co.’s landmark projects are the Passenger Terminal, the renovated Magazia 1 building, the International Congress Centre, and the PlanetUM Science Centre, which in 2023 was joined by the spherical Planetarium – a favorite destination for those fascinated by the wonders of the cosmos.
