Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company (BPIC) has added another prestigious award to its professional portfolio. BPI Co. received its latest distinction in the field of IT technologies – this time for implementing a modern software solution for managing business processes in the company.
The first prize in the “Transport and Logistics” category in the corporate sector of the “IT Project of the Year 2017” competition was awarded to Anna Natova – Director of Project Management at BPI Co. and leader of the awarded project “Design and Implementation of IIS for Planning and Resource Management at Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company”. “BPIC always keeps pace with innovative technologies and stays one step ahead in implementing modern solutions,” Ms. Natova commented upon receiving the award.
The award was presented by the Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Velik Zanchev. “It is my pleasure to present this prestigious award to one of the leading enterprises in the MTITC system,” Mr. Zanchev stated and wished the BPI Co. team to work even more intensively towards implementing high technologies in business.
The award ceremony for the winners of the “IT Project of the Year 2017” competition was held on February 21, 2018, for the fourteenth consecutive time. The organizer of this prestigious competition, which recognizes the most successful IT solutions in Bulgaria, is Computerworld newspaper.
Over the past few years, BPI Co. has implemented several large-scale IT projects, and the expansion of the company’s scope of activities led to the need for the next important step forward – implementing an integrated information system for planning and resource management. The most powerful SAP ERP 6.0 product was implemented for the project execution. The project was implemented by STEMO, a leading company in information and communication technologies.
