By Decision No. RD-10-14 of 23.05.2014 of the General Director of Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company, an open procedure for awarding a public contract under the Public Procurement Act was announced with the subject: “Consulting services for the implementation of the IRIS Europe 3 project for: 1. Analysis, pre-project study and implementation of a pilot project for mobile applications for RIS services; 2. Study of operational compatibility between RIS and VTMIS services and analysis, pre-project study and implementation of a pilot project; 3. Improvement of the legal, organizational and technical environment for the implementation of RIS services; 4. Promotion of the achievements of the IRIS Europe-3 project”. The IRIS Europe 3 project is a multi-beneficiary TEN-T project for “Implementation of River Information Services (RIS) in Europe” and represents an international initiative supported by the European Commission within the framework of the TEN-T Funding Programme, with the main objective to promote harmonized development and implementation of RIS at European level, thereby contributing to increasing safety, efficiency and environmental protection of inland waterway navigation.
