State Enterprise “Port Infrastructure” (SEPI) is a specific beneficiary under the project: “Information System for Management
of Vessel Traffic (VTMIS) – Phase 3″, funded under Priority Axis IV “Improvement of Navigation on Maritime and Inland Waterways” of OP “Transport” 2007-2013.
Part of this project involves the implementation of activities for: “Design and construction (engineering) and furnishing of buildings for coastal centers for management and information services of shipping in Burgas and Varna”. On June 24, 2013, a contract for the construction of the coastal centers was signed between SEPI and the participant (“Midia-Diana Commerce” DZZD), ranked first in the conducted open public procurement.
During the official contract signing ceremony, the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications initiated a broad discussion of the conceptual designs for both buildings.
In this regard, we present the initial architectural concept designs and the designer’s perspective regarding the vision for each of the two buildings.
