With a change in the Tariff for port fees collected by the State Enterprise “Port Infrastructure”, the government reduced the reduction coefficient of the tonnage tax for passenger ships from 0.5 to 0.4. The new value will lead to a decrease in the amount due from passenger ships by an average of 14%, which is a step towards encouraging passenger transport in Bulgaria.
In recent years, global practice has shown an increase in competition in the organization of cruise tourist trips. In this regard, the changes in the Tariff for port fees will increase the competitiveness of our country compared to its neighbors by improving the conditions for passenger transport.
The changes made to the tariff create real prerequisites for encouraging the development of business in Bulgaria by retaining existing and attracting new cruise ships.
