State Enterprise ‘Port Infrastructure’ (SEPI) Invests over BGN 6 Million for the Restoration of the Pier in Shabla.

Ivaylo Moskovski, Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Angel Zaburtov, Director General of State Enterprise ‘Port Infrastructure’, and Prof. Raina Bardareva, Mayor of Shabla Municipality, launched the restoration of the pier in the town.

“We identified the pier in Shabla as a priority site during the previous mandate, and today, following the government’s measures to transfer the facility to State Enterprise ‘Port Infrastructure’ (SEPI), we now have secured funding for its restoration,” said Ivaylo Moskovski during the event. “It is extremely important for us, in addition to the restoration of the pier, to ensure its future maintenance, so that we do not allow the facility to start deteriorating again over time,” added Minister Ivaylo Moskovski.

The project “Engineering for the restoration of a port facility at Cape Shabla – Sea Pier with an island platform” is part of the 2015 investment program of State Enterprise ‘Port Infrastructure’ (SEPI). SEPI is the contracting authority for the project, and the contractor is Consortium “Sea Pier Shabla”. The concluded contract includes design, construction, and construction supervision, and has a total value of BGN 6,186,353 without VAT.
