The X Annual Meeting of the European Network of Maritime Clusters is held with the support of PPIE

The “X Regular Annual Meeting of the European Network of Maritime Clusters (ENMC)” will be held on September 26, 2014 at the “Arena di Serdica” hotel in Sofia. The event is hosted by the “Maritime Cluster Bulgaria” Association, with the support of the State Enterprise “Port Infrastructure”, Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications.

ENMC is an organization uniting national maritime clusters, with 16 countries currently as members. Among them are Belgium, Denmark, France, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, Norway, Germany, and Spain. The main objective of the organization is to promote the maritime industry in Europe through the exchange of information and knowledge in areas of common interest, through joint initiatives and the implementation of common policy in the field of maritime industry. The organization provides a platform for interconnection between national maritime clusters and central European authorities and supports the implementation of an integrated approach to maritime policy at the European level.

The annual meetings of ENMC are held in different countries in the presence of a representative of the European Commission. The leaders of the national clusters participate in the work. At the meeting, the activities of the organization and clusters are reported, current issues are discussed, and directions for future work are outlined.

For the first time, Bulgaria is hosting the event. This will contribute to enhancing our country’s image before the European maritime community.

The working meeting is held behind closed doors and persons other than delegates are not admitted.
