We are celebrating International Lighthouse Day

We are celebrating International Lighthouse Day with the newly refurbished navigation lights at Balchik and Kavarna. The towers now look better than ever following refurbishment by the Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company.

For centuries, lighthouses have played a vital role in navigation, marking dangerous areas and guiding vessels safely into port. Despite advances in technology, many lighthouses continue to light the way for ships and have also become popular tourist attractions. Bulgaria’s oldest working lighthouse is at Cape Shabla.
